From learners who did it

The first time a taxi driver understood my directions without me repeating myself, I actually cried a little. That's Capital Mandarin.

Sarah · FranceSpoken Chinese

They pushed me across all four skills — speaking, listening, reading, writing — in a way that actually stuck. Challenging in the best sense.

Teacher Xin is good and demanding — and somehow patient at the same time. Exactly the combination I needed.

Good to know

What adult learners ask first

I've heard Chinese takes years — what can I really say after a month?

With about 20–30 hours of the formula method behind you, you can manage real exchanges: greetings, taxis, shopping, ordering. By 60 hours you handle daily communication comfortably. The trick isn't talent — it's a course that spends every hour on the spoken language you need first.

Which HSK level should I aim for?

It depends on the door you're trying to open — many university programs ask for HSK 4, scholarships often ask for more. Your placement test tells us where you are today; from there we map the realistic level for your exam date and build the plan backwards.

How long until I'm ready for a Chinese-taught degree?

Most programs ask for HSK 4 or 5. From zero, plan on one to two semesters of intensive study; from an intermediate level, one semester often does it. Your placement test turns that range into a real timeline against your target intake.

How custom is custom — can we change the sample routes?

Completely. The sample pairings are starting points, not packages: swap cities, stretch or shrink the days, tilt the trip toward food, history, hiking, or art. You react to a draft itinerary and we revise until it's yours.
