Remote learning
E-books & Workbooks
Before there was an app, there were the workbooks: Capital Mandarin wrote its own HSK writing and character practice books because the ones in shops taught recognition, not writing. They are the materials our classes still use — offered digitally, so you can study from them anywhere.
What’s on the shelf
The in-house series the school developed for its own classrooms:
- HSK 1–3 writing workbooks — stroke-order-correct writing practice for every character on the lists, built level by level.
- HSK character practice workbooks — the component-first recognition and writing drills behind our characters course.
- HSK 4 writing textbook — the step up: composed sentences and structured writing for the level where the exam starts asking for them.
Each book exists because our teachers needed it and couldn’t buy it — they follow the same spoken-first, component-first method as the classes, so book and lesson never argue with each other.
Who they’re for
Self-studiers who want structure without a screen; our own students who want the class materials at home; and teachers at partner schools who need proven HSK writing practice for their classes.
How to buy
Email the school with the level you’re studying — we’ll confirm the right title for you and how to receive it. If you’re not sure of your level, say so: placement advice comes free with the reply.
